Bhagavad Gita 6.43-44

Sanskrit

तत्र तं बुद्धिसंयोगं लभते पौर्वदेहिकम् । यतते च ततो भूयः संसिद्धौ कुरुनन्दन ॥6.43॥पूर्वाभ्यासेन तेनैव ह्रियते ह्यवशोऽपि सः । जिज्ञासुरपि योगस्य शब्दब्रह्मातिवर्तते ॥6.44॥

Transliteration

tatra taṃ buddhisaṃyogaṃ labhate paurvadehikam | yatate ca tato bhūyaḥ saṃsiddhau kurunandana ‖6.43‖ pūrvābhyāsena tenaiva hriyate hyavaśo'pi saḥ | jijñāsurapi yogasya śabdabrahmātivartate ‖6.44‖

Meaning

There one regains the disposition of the former life, and strives onward once more toward perfection, O joy of the Kurus. By that very former practice one is carried on, even despite oneself; the mere wisher to know of yoga passes beyond the word-ritual of the Veda.
