Meaning
“The Blessed Lord said: I taught this imperishable yoga to Vivasvan; Vivasvan told it to Manu; Manu spoke it to Ikshvaku. Thus handed down in succession, the royal sages knew it. By long lapse of time this yoga was lost to the world, O scorcher of foes. That same ancient yoga I have today declared to you, for you are My devotee and My friend, this is the supreme secret.”
