Bhagavad Gita 3.30
Sanskrit
मयि सर्वाणि कर्माणि संन्यस्याध्यात्मचेतसा । निराशीर्निर्ममो भूत्वा युध्यस्व विगतज्वरः ॥3.30॥
Transliteration
mayi sarvāṇi karmāṇi saṃnyasyādhyātmacetasā | nirāśīrnirmamo bhūtvā yudhyasva vigatajvaraḥ ‖3.30‖
Meaning
“Renouncing all actions in Me, with mind centred on the Self, free from longing and the sense of ‘mine,’ fight, with the fever gone.”
Key learning
Offer your actions to something higher than yourself, drop the constant wanting and the "it's all mine" feeling, and then act, but without the fever. The "fever" is the hot, anxious, grasping stress that usually comes with effort. The goal isn't to stop acting; it's to keep acting while curing that inner stress.
How to apply this today
Spot your own "fever" signs, like refreshing your inbox, replaying arguments, or a racing heart over results. Before something important, offer it up, let go of "mine," then dive in fully; many people get the same results with far less anxiety. Each week, ask: am I working hot or working calm? Do this: do the work fully, but without the fever.
