Transliteration

atra śūrā maheṣvāsā bhīmārjunasamā yudhi | yuyudhāno virāṭaśca drupadaśca mahārathaḥ ‖1.4‖ dhṛṣṭaketuścekitānaḥ kāśirājaśca vīryavān | purujitkuntibhojaśca śaibyaśca narapuṅgavaḥ ‖1.5‖ yudhāmanyuśca vikrānta uttamaujāśca vīryavān | saubhadro draupadeyāśca sarva eva mahārathāḥ ‖1.6‖

Meaning

Here are heroes, mighty archers, equal in battle to Bhima and Arjuna, Yuyudhana, Virata, and the great warrior Drupada; Dhrishtaketu, Chekitana, the valiant king of Kashi, Purujit, Kuntibhoja, and Shaibya, bull among men; mighty Yudhamanyu, valiant Uttamaujas, the son of Subhadra, and the sons of Draupadi, all great warriors.

Key learning

Duryodhana lists the enemy's champions one by one. This is fear's math: when anxious, the mind keeps counting every threat until it fills the whole sky. It feels like preparing, but it's really rehearsing dread.

How to apply this today

Catch yourself "counting the enemy", listing everything that could go wrong before a challenge. Before an exam or a pitch, naming every tough topic or rival just feeds the fear. Write the real risks down once, calmly, then put your attention back on what you'll actually do.
