Bhagavad Gita 8.12-13
Sanskrit
सर्वद्वाराणि संयम्य मनो हृदि निरुध्य च । मूर्ध्न्याधायात्मनः प्राणमास्थितो योगधारणाम् ॥8.12॥ओमित्येकाक्षरं ब्रह्म व्याहरन्मामनुस्मरन् । यः प्रयाति त्यजन्देहं स याति परमां गतिम् ॥8.13॥
Transliteration
sarvadvārāṇi saṃyamya mano hṛdi nirudhya ca | mūrdhnyādhāyātmanaḥ prāṇamāsthito yogadhāraṇām ‖8.12‖ omityekākṣaraṃ brahma vyāharanmāmanusmaran | yaḥ prayāti tyajandehaṃ sa yāti paramāṃ gatim ‖8.13‖
Meaning
“Controlling all the gates of the body, confining the mind in the heart, fixing the life-breath in the head, established in yogic concentration, uttering Om, the single syllable that is Brahman, remembering Me as one departs leaving the body, such a one reaches the supreme goal.”
