Bhagavad Gita 4.7-8
Sanskrit
यदा यदा हि धर्मस्य ग्लानिर्भवति भारत । अभ्युत्थानमधर्मस्य तदात्मानं सृजाम्यहम् ॥4.7॥परित्राणाय साधूनां विनाशाय च दुष्कृताम् । धर्मसंस्थापनार्थाय सम्भवामि युगे युगे ॥4.8॥
Transliteration
yadā yadā hi dharmasya glānirbhavati bhārata | abhyutthānamadharmasya tadātmānaṃ sṛjāmyaham ‖4.7‖ paritrāṇāya sādhūnāṃ vināśāya ca duṣkṛtām | dharmasaṃsthāpanārthāya sambhavāmi yuge yuge ‖4.8‖
Meaning
“Whenever there is a decline of dharma and a rise of adharma, O Bharata, then I manifest Myself. For the protection of the good, the destruction of the wicked, and the establishment of dharma, I come into being age after age.”
