Meaning
“Further, looking to your own dharma, you should not waver; for a kshatriya, nothing is better than a battle for righteousness. Happy are the warriors, O Partha, to whom such a battle comes unsought, an open door to heaven.”
Key learning
Krishna reminds Arjuna of his duty: he is a protector by role and nature, and this just battle is his duty arriving. The fact that it came unsought matters, because every path to peace had already failed. A hard responsibility that lands on you, fitted exactly to your abilities, carries real weight. Refusing it is not humility; it is walking away dressed up as gentleness.
How to apply this today
Notice the hard duties that arrive at your door shaped perfectly for your skills, and stop treating them as annoying interruptions. If you are the only one able to handle a parent's finances in a crisis, that is your task arriving, not bad luck. The problem only you can fix, the relative only you can reach, the call only you can make are responsibilities with your name on them. Tell the difference between these and battles you chase for ego. Today, ask of a hard task: did this find me, and am I truly suited for it? If yes, step up.
