Bhagavad Gita 16.11-12

चिन्तामपरिमेयां च प्रलयान्तामुपाश्रिताः । कामोपभोगपरमा एतावदिति निश्चिताः ॥16.11॥आशापाशशतैर्बद्धाः कामक्रोधपरायणाः । ईहन्ते कामभोगार्थमन्यायेनार्थसञ्चयान् ॥16.12॥
Transliteration
cintāmaparimeyāṃ ca pralayāntāmupāśritāḥ | kāmopabhogaparamā etāvaditi niścitāḥ ‖16.11‖ āśāpāśaśatairbaddhāḥ kāmakrodhaparāyaṇāḥ | īhante kāmabhogārthamanyāyenārthasañcayān ‖16.12‖
Meaning
“Beset with immeasurable cares ending only with death, holding gratification of desire as the highest aim, convinced that this is all; bound by a hundred ties of hope, given over to lust and anger, they strive to amass wealth by unjust means for the enjoyment of desires.”
