Bhagavad Gita 5.14-15
Sanskrit
न कर्तृत्वं न कर्माणि लोकस्य सृजति प्रभुः । न कर्मफलसंयोगं स्वभावस्तु प्रवर्तते ॥5.14॥नादत्ते कस्यचित्पापं न चैव सुकृतं विभुः । अज्ञानेनावृतं ज्ञानं तेन मुह्यन्ति जन्तवः ॥5.15॥
Transliteration
na kartṛtvaṃ na karmāṇi lokasya sṛjati prabhuḥ | na karmaphalasaṃyogaṃ svabhāvastu pravartate ‖5.14‖ nādatte kasyacitpāpaṃ na caiva sukṛtaṃ vibhuḥ | ajñānenāvṛtaṃ jñānaṃ tena muhyanti jantavaḥ ‖5.15‖
Meaning
“The Lord creates neither agency nor actions for the world, nor the union of action with its fruit; it is nature that operates. The all-pervading One takes on neither the sin nor the merit of anyone. Knowledge is enveloped by ignorance; thereby beings are deluded.”
