Bhagavad Gita 2.65
Sanskrit
प्रसादे सर्वदुःखानां हानिरस्योपजायते । प्रसन्नचेतसो ह्याशु बुद्धिः पर्यवतिष्ठते ॥2.65॥
Transliteration
prasāde sarvaduḥkhānāṃ hānirasyopajāyate | prasannacetaso hyāśu buddhiḥ paryavatiṣṭhate ‖2.65‖
Meaning
“In serenity, all one's sorrows are destroyed; for the intellect of the tranquil-minded soon becomes firmly established.”
Key learning
When your mind is calm, your problems shrink. A settled mind thinks clearly, and clear thinking dissolves many worries that an anxious mind only multiplies. Peace is not the prize you get after solving everything. Peace is the state in which solutions actually become visible.
How to apply this today
Get calm before you try to fix anything. Notice how many problems look smaller after a good night's sleep or a short walk. In a family crisis, first lower the temperature, make sure everyone is fed and rested, before holding the big discussion. Make it a rule: no major decision, hard email, or confrontation until you have settled yourself first.
